I couldn't agree more, Winsor. Especially when you realize that he was
working exclusively with monochrome materials, making three exposures with
colour filters. The Library of Congress has the P-G collection, and if I
recall correctly is working thorugh the images to digitally rework them,
processing them into digital colour images. Really well worth a look. LoC
has an online exhibition devoted to the collection and restoration at:
