The ground screws that come loose that cause beeping are found under the
top cover. It is most likely that re-tightening the bottom cover screws
is what stopped the beeping in your case. The only screw inside the
bottom associated with the battery, connects a diode to ground. This
prevents circuit damage if batteries are inserted backwards.
