Oh, many of us know the history of Lincoln's War of Northern Yankee Aggression
and Invasion. I recently counted the books I have, most of which I have read,
about the war. I believe the total was 83. For anybody interested in it, I
highly recommend the three-volume series by the late Shelby Foote. They ain't
cheap, but they're a good read if you have any interest.
My great-grandfather killed two pillaging Yankee soldiers on the front porch of
the old house I grew up in and buried them somewhere nearby, I was told by my
grandmother. I spent half my childhood digging holes to find them. Never did.
