A shoe cord is nice but you don't need one for an OM-1.  Use an ordinary 
hot shoe to PC adapter (The Nikon AS-15 is very good).

If you're attaching to a T-flash use a PC to hot shoe adapter underneath

I'm not recommending this one but almost anything will work.
