The bridge in the previous shot is in use but it is very narrow and
further restricted by posts that will allow only small
vehicles through. In addition, the rise towards the centre of the bridge
means that those who get through the width restrictions
cannot see what is coming from the other side so vehicles frequently
meet in the middle and one has to reverse all the way off.
For vehicles that are too wide and for drivers who wish to avoid another
car coming towards them on the bridge there is a ford.
Some drivers inch through the water to keep brakes dry while others see
it as an opportunity to go into Paris-Daka rally mode:
