Chuck,
I purchased a USB housing for a 2.5" drive and it came with a special
USB cable with a "Y" on one end to be able to draw power from 2 USB
ports. It had no external poser supply. I would not put much trust in
this drive from the URL that you gave unless it had a external power
supply. The several external drives that I do have have external power
supplies that output 5 & 12 volts at 2 amps ( 5 of them, all same
outputs, there must be a reason for it )
