Sony seems to have gone from something special to just another
company. Not only the MP3 player market, but its laptop battery
bursting into flame fiasco and the self destruction of its sensors. I
doubt that they got more than their costs out of the DSC R-1. They
seem to get less quality out of their sensors than the other camera
makers who use them. Their small sensor cameras seldom have a
compelling feature any more that would make you want to buy one. The
good stuff that came to the party with the new DSLRs seems to have
all come from Konica-Minolta.
