Intended to mention this at the time, but forgot.
It's possible to do film development without even the changing
bag ie the whole process in daylight. I've been using an ancient
device, the Agfa Rondinax, for a couple of years now, with good
results. For 35mm, just put the cassette in the tank, thread
the film onto a reel, put the lid on, wind onto the reel, clip the
film with an in-built cutter, add 200 ml of developer, and wind
away. Then similarly run some fixer through.
Just got via eb*y the 120 format version. A bit trickier,
because it first has to separate the film from the paper into
a light tight cylinder before winding onto the spool. But
got it working without too much trouble.
