If it's a Palm, then my guess is you'd need the Palm desktop software to
play it. I don't have a PDA aside from my old Apple Newton, so I'm not
sure. But I'd guess .pwi is Palm's proprietary file format.
You might try googling .pwi and see if anyone has come up with a player
that will play it.
