It might well also be Norton on Brian's PC, Walt, but it *is* certainly XP.
I have precisely the same icon in the tray, the reason being that XP wants
to update the Windows Genuine Advantage application.  In my case it can't be
Norton, as I have never had it installed on this PC.

I had Norton on my previous computer, and that damned yellow shield was
there all the time. I couldn't get rid of it. It's Norton, not XP.
