I think they behave as individual serial channels, rather than a bus
system. But I may be wrong. It's not unlike the HyperTransport mechanism
in the processors.
It's been a while since I looked at this; though someone was whittering on
about shoving data down HT connections for inter processor communication
(or between a CPU and a big FPGA adapted to fit into a CPU socket on a dual
processor board ..) (www.xtremedatainc.com has some more info I think ...)
