It's not going to be quite so simple, unless you expect EVERYONE to
toil on the land.
Assuming a farmer can produce enough oilseed to power his own needs
and produce a crop, who's going to produce the oil needed for all his
customers to commute to jobs so they can afford to eat?
Before the widespread use of fossil fuel, it took FIFTEEN
agricultural families to support ONE family in the city. With the
help of petrochemicals, that ratio is about 1:1000 these days.
Are roughly 940 out of 1000 of you people who do not currently work
the land willing to do so? I didn't think so!
