Hi Chuck,
I don't know what happened with this film. The last dozen or so shots that I
have posted were all from it (the first couple were
in another camera before I changed it over) and I didn't do anything different
from my usual workflow.
The lighting was harsh and as Moose correctly surmised the reeds are pretty
drab and the water stagnant. I share your dislike of
the high contrast results but others on another list have commented that they
like the shots so I took no measures to lessen the
contrast and went with it. Maybe those individuals find my usual stuff rather
flat compared with the shots that you and I usually
find more acceptable.
Thank you and others that have commented, my next film through the OM will tell
me whether it was the harsh winter light , a
processing glitch, a subtle change in my mood or whatever.
