Unfortunately without collective responsibility, government becomes
near impossible. Would you prefer an Italian style approach of free-
floating coalitions and governments that last less than a year? Come
to think of it, they aren't doing too badly!
In political life, it's all about compromise horse trading - that's
how things get done. Without it, it's all just a shouting match.
