Incidentally, this amazing collection of data is also useful for
making purchase decisions. Although it tells you nothing about
sharpness and contrast, one can often assume that distortion figures
are an indicator of overall quality, unless it's a very specialized
lens, sacrificing distortion to optimize some other quality.
When I saw the near-nil distortion correction factor for the ZD
7-14/4, I knew I had to have one!
