What John means is that they *are* original Olympus items, as new, in the
box etc etc.

If the battery grip (I assume you mean M15V NiCd pack) is an obstruction,
take the battery off, turn it round, put it back on so the asymmetric foot
faces away from the battery!

I wasn't aware of OEMs.  Is it designed differently than the original one?
The shape of the original makes it hard to use the collar when you have the
batterygrip on.  The new ones on the DZ are much better in that respect
(understandably).
