I quickly tried the EC14 with a Tamron 400/4 long ago. I didn't notice
any difference between it and the Olympus OM 1.4x TC but it was a
quick test.
The EC-14 does not protrude forward. It could be used with lenses the
OM 1.4x TC won't work with.
