To be perfectly honest, I prefer SLRs with a grip, I find them much
nicer to handle and much harder to drop without them being
significantly harder to pack. Don't understand why so many folks hate
them the way they do. Being able to use the same battery for my
existing E-300 and whatever (if anything) I get next will be a major
plus point. Much worst to have to carry 2 different sorts of battery
than to have cameras with grips, IMO.
My only actual gripes with these new models is the lack of a second
jog-wheel on the front (which would be best positioned at the
top-front edge of the grip, of course), and the fixed screen (should
be tiltable at least, now they've put live-view in).
I suppose I should be grateful that they have CF and XD slots, because
if they only had one slot it would probably be XD. I'd not consider
it a negative point if it only had CF, but I guess Oly were thinking
of compact (Oly) camera owners who wanted to keep using their old XD
cards. I could have a rant about that, but I won't.
