Thank you for that idea. I had always thought of the 1.4 as a digital lens. Of course that's not true but it just locked in my head and thought "oh, I need to do a 2x. A question then. Would it make any difference if I use a digital 1.4 vs OM 1.4? It will yield a very good performing 420mm/F6.3. Personally I never found much use for anything much over 400. vibration and atmospherics become to much of an issue for me with anything much longer.
