The link is to Foxit software <http://www.foxitsoftware.com/>
I downloaded and installed it since I'd been having problems with
Acrobat locking up under Firefox (and it used to do the same under
Netscape). My admittedly short experience was that Foxit loads a little
quicker but locks up under Firefox at least as frequently as Acrobat. I
haven't uninstalled it but when the next update to Acrobat arrived I set
Acrobat back to the default reader. No, the update didn't fix Acrobat
lockups under Firefox.
Both Foxit and Acrobat will work properly with the same PDF files that
causes lockups under Firefox if they are run stand-alone. Maybe they're
running on the same stack with Firefox and there isn't enough stack
space allocated by Firefox. Something's amiss.
