Sunday Afternoon AndrewF and I did a bit of ad hoc testing with a combinations of lenses and teleconverters. We had the following lenses: Tamron SP 500mm f8 mirror Tamron SP 300mm f5.6 Zuiko 300mm f4.5 and the following teleconverters: Tamron SP 1.4X Tamron SP 2.0X Zuiko 2X-A The "stuff" was mounted on an Olympus E-300 sitting on a Manfrotto tripod with Manfrotto 410 geared head and the shutter fired using the IR remote. The "subject" was about 70m from the camera. Here is a link to the results: http://lrh.structuregraphs.com/test/long.htm If you click on the thumbnail you get an 800 pixel wide version (no processing except resize), and if you click on that you get the full res jpg as captured (no sharpening even). You can check out the exif data for shutter speeds & exposure compensation, etc. ...Wayne ============================================== List usage info: http://www.zuikoholic.com List nannies: olympusadmin@xxxxxxxxxx ============================================== |
