The films of Martin Scorsese are always a major event around here. Last
Tribeca Film festival, they screened a restored print of "Fair Wind to
Java" (a B pirate movie starring Fred MacMurray). Scorsese himslef was
there to introduce it. As a child, it was one of his favorite films.
"Mean Streets" (his first film after "Boxcar Bertha", I think)
changed my life, meanwhile everyone else (at that time) acted like
"Saturday Night Fever" was the only reason to go to the movies.
"what's a mook?"
