Hi Brian,
What Chris said about the roof.
It is a small church (small village) and the fact that the stonemasons spared
nothing in the ornate nature of their work may lead
the viewer to associate it with larger scale buildings. I don't think that
there is any distorted perspective to mislead.
I would like to see the inside but, due to its location just a few miles from
the edge of town, it is kept locked. Most of the
locked churches have a sign informing would be visitors where the key is held
and this church is probably no exception. However, I
shy away from knocking on the doors of rather grand houses, where the keys are
invariably held, looking like a mud spattered hobo
(winter) or a beach bum (summer) :-)
Thanks for looking.
