I remember getting a 3x TC decades ago, thinking it woul be the answer to
not being able to afford longer lenses. It will cost you 2.5 stops by my
reckoning - an f/2 aperture will have the effect of f/6; an f/4 the effect
of an f/12.
Do I sound very unenthusiastic?

Can anyone tell me what quality this is? It is 58 mm long or 2.25 inches
long.
Anyone know how many F stops I lose when I use this?
I tried googleing this a couple of times and can't find out anything.
I just put it on a 3.8f 210 mm Haminex lens and the initial tests (indoors,
corner to corner in my bedrooms) amazed me, I thought I was using my nicer
2X Vivitar lens that is about 1.5 inches thick. I've got to have good
weather to try this out where I have been shooting the Red shouldered hawk.
