Is this sensor one of the two mirrors I see when the lens is off?

Subject: [OM] Re: cleaning sensors
If any of you folks are tempted to clean their own digital sensors, it
has been noted that the low pass filter coating may be soft enough to be
damaged. One technician noted that while he was cleaning the sensor in
a Nikon D100, a small spot appeared. As he swabbed over it, the spot got
bigger. The coating was coming off. Of course, Nikon does not sell the
low pass filter separately, but it is part of a $1000 shutter assembly.
Wow, $1,000, is that ALL?
This tech was using alcohol (don't know which type)with a sensor swab.
There is a new cleaner "Eclipse E2" which is recommended for sensor
cleaning. Eclipse cleaner is available from Fargo.
