All Pentax lenses' AF works, or at least focus confirmation on MF lenses
in K10D, and KA mount lenses (MF) back to 1980 work in all metering
modes including camera dials electronically setting the aperture with
correct top LCD indication because sensors in the actual mounting plate
communicating lens info have been there since then. This is also one
reason why all lens mounts are solid metal including kit lenses & third
party that would normally provide plastic mounts for other camera brands.
