Beats me why it works, when I was in severe pain, St Johns Wort helped the
nerve pain tremendously, but the muscle and ligament pain, 4 Choline
Inositol worked better than 10 Tylenol a day.
Recently I have added these to great effect too.
Baikal Skullcap and Zyflamend, both from New Chapter, to keep me working in
my physically demanding jobs.
None of them have any side effects of the pharmaceuticals, though none of
them may be what any of you need and of course I have no idea if any of them
would react with anything else you are taking, but if your interested, you
might ask your doctor.

Subject: [OM] OT Sciatica
Walt commented that he used 'Aleve' to mitigate the pain of sciatica.
I checked it out; it is a form of pseudoephredine. OK as a general purpose
pain-killer.
What is usually prescribed here goes under the common name of Voltaren.
Actually is Diclofenac sodium, 75mg tabs. Very good, and one tablet kills
the pain and disability for maybe a whole day.
BUT it is very dangerous. It put me in hospital with a suspected heart
attack
in the middle of the night, some days after I took the last previous tab. It
nearly killed a friend of mine as it perforated his stomach and he developed
peritonitis. The heart doctors who investigated me said that Voltaren
ALWAYS causes bleeding and damage in the stomach. Only very
reluctantly will I use it again.
