Pardon me if someone has already commented on this but the Zuiko 1000mm lens
is slow at f-10 and the long format makes the thing difficult to handle. It
takes a two-point mount to steady it and that makes things awkward if it
needs to be moved very much. The big and fast Tamrons are quite compatible
with the Zuiko extenders and let you get some long combinations. I sometimes
use the 300mm f-2.8 with the 2x and 1.4x extenders and like the way it
works.

Hehehe I have a shake already that makes had held shots impossible. So the
weight is a huge issue for me. But I didn't even think about the added
weight of a true 1000mm lens. Thanks for the reminder.
A question.....Can this lens have an adapter to use with Oly? I'm still
