I've had no problem with the 500/8 Zuiko on the E-1. I posted some bluebird
shots a few months back taken with the combo, and they were tack-sharp. I'd put
them up again, but I can't find them now. They're lost, along with a lot of
other crap, in this disorganized computer, so you'll just have to take my word
for it.
