Been there, done that!
The good news is that the Kiron 1.5x Match Mate hardly vignettes at all
with the Sigma 600/8. With a very bright or overexposed subject, there
is a tiny amount of vignetting in the very far corners. It is not the
gradual type, but almost sharp edged, so it doesn't affect the rest of
the image at all. Easy to clone or crop out. All this on the FF sensor
5D, so it should apply to OMs
I didn't notice it on a properly exposed shot of my test subject, but
only as a result of a quite overexposed shot resulting from the
interaction of the MF mirror lens with 5D metering before I corrected
for it.
I didn't get around to this until the light was fading, and precise
focus with the tiny DOF is touchy, so I don't want to post shots that
may not convey the best sharpness possible. I may get more samples to
post using careful technique for more than vignetting.
