Actually, I think a .22 long rifle round is somewhere in the 12-1300 f.p.s.
range, but it's a lot bigger and heavier than a .177 pellet, so is a lot more
lethal.
I couldn't wait for daylight to try it out. At 53 lbs. of cocking effort, it's
a bitch to cock, nearly takes two hands, but I loaded it up and fired a round
off into the ground from the deck, just for fun. It's every bit as loud as a
.22. The neighbors will just have to get used to it. It's only an air gun. :-)
