It also provides you with an archival copy that allows you to create
prints directly from the sensor if you have the correct scanner (no
digital artifacts!) If you wish the sensor can also be converted into a
digital file. By purchasing different sensors you can output a positive
or negative image, in either B&W or color. There are even infrared
sensors available. The sensor is small and compact so you can carry a
variety of types with you. Most amazingly, this technology requires NO
BATTERIES! Some cameras utilize small batteries (watch type) for
powering meters and/or shutter, but many cameras are available that do
not require the use of batteries at all.
