I know that you are impressed with your F30, Moose, and those scenes
are of course nicely composed, but I couldn't help feeling that there
was a shortage of colour depth in them. It might be something else,
but the colours came out looking somehow artificial on my monitor. I
could also see what looked like the results of masking on 2 of the
horizons. It was v. skilfully done, much better than I am capable
of, but there is an edge to hills in 1296 and 1301 and to the woods
in 1297.
Those were my initial impressions, but I have revisited the site for
this email and the look is one of a slightly older print in the ones
of the hills; and the whole scene in 1297 has a decent amount of
depth to it to give a nearly 3D impression. Those 2 images have
grown on me.
However, the woods seem to be over-saturated, to the point of there
being some purple in the tree trunks (now you will tell me that that
was the colour in that scene ;-)).
I like the colour, composition and overall look of 1295.
It was an interesting set of images to study, thanks, Moose.
