You are correct. Cats will do what they damn well please, only when
they damn well want to.
Mittens has started to play "fetch" with us - we'll be watching TV, and
all of a sudden he jumps up with the little green foam ball in his
mouth. He'll drop it in front of us and look at us like, "Well? You
gonna throw that thing or do I have to claw your legs?" Then we toss it
into the other room, and he retrieves it.
Found a piece of Sheri's jewelry the other day, dutifully brought it
into the bedroom and dropped it in front of her.
He's just freaky.
