Hmmm, all bets were off it the nuclear starting pistol had been
fired. By then it was probably assumed that there was nowhere to
find weapons to reload or fuel to refuel. But up until then it was
assumed that there would be several days of conventional warfare
until one side or the other ran out of conventional weapons, aircraft
or restraint ...
