I handled an E-400 in a Danish Photo Fair in November, and was duly
impressed with the size and weight. I was not impressed by the mount on the
lens, which was of polycarbonate, not metal. I actually preferred the feel
of the E-330, although I thought that it was a bit 'chunky'. The E-330 was
mounted with the DZ 18-180, which also had a nice feel to it, and balanced
nicely on the E-330. Has anyone used the 18-180, by the way ? It is just a
year since I bought an E-500 two lens kit, so I was not just about to buy
another DSLR.
However, the falling price of the E-1 (now 375GBP including lens from
Digital Depot) has tipped me over the edge. I had to have it delivered in
England, so it is now waiting for me to visit my mother in March. I noticed
that Digital Depot are now selling the E-400 for 479GBP body only, or 529GBP
including lens; was that where you bought your camera, Paul?
