Yes. There was just one model.
Just a couple of negatives in all this enthusiasm. I was very
impressed with the C-8080. They did a beautiful job with the camera
and one of the best jobs in noise removal for its time. You can look
at the comparison of these 2/3" sensor cameras at dpreview and see
that some models that did use in camera noise reduction reveal just
how noisy the sensor was. I almost bought one after using it in the
shop but I wanted something smaller. There was only one 2/3" sensor
for all those cameras and it received no further development. The
1/1.8" sensor continued to receive development and there were
subsequent cameras with that sensor with less noise than the 2/3"
sensor. The current 10MP G7 has lower noise according to dpreview.
There is probably no way to actually do a comparison of the noise
reduction artifacts of both of them.
The other thing was the exposure system. I looked at lots of pictures
taken by the camera by lots of people and the only one photographers
who had nicely exposed galleries that I saw had switched it to center
weighted metering with a minus 2/3 stop exposure adjustment and they
even still had a pastel look about them.
Nothing is perfect and you will probably have to work with whatever
you get.
