I think a better option is to keep the unit off site. I have two WD
Passport drives which I use to backup both the home and my bike shop
computers. I swap them out every day. One is always at the shop, and the
second goes home with me in the evenings. The only time I would be at
real risk would be if we were to have a fire or some such thing at work
during the day, otherwise, one is at the shop and the other is at home.
Both have a full backup and then Differential backups done every other
day, so at worst I am only out a days worth of data if I actually lose
the drive itself.
