Freecycle.org. Major towns have a chapter. Our local
chapter is a Yahoo group basically. People post
offers, wants, etc on the group. Its very hit or miss.
I just post a request periodically.
Salvation Army typically is less expensive than
Goodwill. I picked up a Ricoh K10 Super w/ 50 lens
just before Christmas for around $3.00.
