OK, I'll have to accept that it's there but you can't have formatted the 
card with the E-1 if there's still a Canon folder there.  Perhaps the 
E-1 doesn't really format the card it if detects some "foreign" data 
there.  I have no other explanation.  Even a "quick format" scrubs the FAT.
