That looks like a nice "do it yourself" job. Thanks for posting all of
the pictures.
I would like to caution you though. It isn't a good idea to use an ohm
meter to check continuity of a battery pack. If you measure a voltage,
you have them connected together. You are very likely to damage your
meter if you try to measure the "ohms" of the battery pack.
