Unfortunately it is always a compromise between size and brightness unless you
go the way of the E-330. The compromise between size and brightness has
probably been set by one of the design engineers based on some criteria which
may not be appropriate for the specific conditions for which you are using the
camera (e.g. 500/8 in bright sunlight, 50/2 in a dimly lit theatre).
