My Nikon scanner software comes with GEM which does a pretty
nice job of "toning down" the noise a bit. It doesn't remove
any noise, it just mutes it enough to make it unobjectional in
the average print.
Otherwise, I've been using NoiseWare which will not only remove
noise, but will add some back in to give the image some
acutance.
Usually, I'm finding that my slides don't really need much noise
reduction to make them acceptable for prints. But I tend to
like film-grain as compared to DSLR noise.
