One uses the Google "Search site" facility, using a search string such as:
site:lists.tako.de 24mm shift
That brings up 93 hits between 1998 and 2006 in .029secs! Try it using this
link:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Alists.tako.de+24mm+shift&btnG=Go
ogle+Search
Of course, if one wants to restrict the timespan of your search, one would
use the archive's own facility.

How does one 'navigate and search' a list that consists only of addresses to
a month's-worth of messages?
