Thanks Russ,
The '3190', as all the other pics there, was shot handheld(!).. I was
soaking wet under constant rain that couldn't bother to take the
tripod off its case.. And in a hurry!.. since everyone else had
disappeared searching that elusive pub..
I trusted the center-weighted meter of the OM-2n, keeping just a very
little piece of sky in the frame. It was dark where I was standing,
covered from plantation, but the river had enough light, although it
was the last light of the day. Focus on the branch of leaves. Now, if
I remember well of what happened in this particular shot, I stepped
down the aperture two or three stops (getting by the way more D.o.f.
to cover the rock) until I had a slowish shutter of about 1/4 or 1/2
sec I think. I didn't want a slower shutter speed. Not only because of
shoting handheld but for two more reasons. I wanted the branch of
illuminated leaves, which was constantly moved up and down by the
wind, to come blurred but not totally shapeless. And I wanted the
already moving fast river to keep some detail and not become white.
