Yep. Amazing tool that not only helps in many situations, but is
sometimes the only solution such as getting a sharp shot from a
moving platform like an aircraft or boat, outside of a gyroscopic
platform.
It seems to me that the good of tools like this are not that they are
perfect in every situation, but that they increase the number of your
"keepers" and allow a kind of shooting that has not been done before.
Noise free high ISO, autofocus, image stabilization, and the recently
discussed matrix metering all do that as did older advances like fast
lenses and shutter speeds above 1/200 of a second.
