Now this is hitting home! I've been very happy with Maytag appliances.
My 1979 washer and dryer are still running fine. I did have to replace
a solenoid in the dryer twice at about $15 each time. I did my part to
support them too. I've bought several washers, dryers, and dishwashers
that were left behind after moves. It's a shame Maytag didn't survive
as an independent company. I guess my next appliance won't need to be
Maytag.
If Olympus took small size and light weight to heart, they could do
just fine in the spring. Most people don't need more than about 10MP.
The E400 and variations could be pretty good cameras. They sure have
to do something dramatic for the higher end market though.
