I want to be able to release the shutter of my E1 remotely for macro
work. The infra red remote seems just a bloody nuisance due to the
fact that it needs to be triggered from in front of the camera.
My local camera dealer asked the Olympus rep..who stated " no
release cable exists for the E1. Contacted Olympus UK...who agreed
with this statement....when told to look at the Olympus website they
reluctantly agreed it might exist..but that they did not have any...and
that if they did get any they would cost about £80 / $140. This seems
like daylight robbery. Is there a workaround electrical solution?
