The MD designation was a little badge mostly on the lower right as you
look at the front of the body. Most are one of a couple of designs
integrated into the leatherette. But it seems some early MD badges were
simply glued on in one of a couple of places and subject to falling off.
So the simplest, and most accurate thing is to look at the bottom. If
there are two coin slot operated covers, it is MD.
