My N*kon D70 (from eBay) arrived today. First impressions:
When the seller said like new - she meant like NEW. Upon close
inspection you can tell the camera has been handled, but it really is
like new, including all original packaging and such. Very nice.
Man this thing is big! - Compared to my OM-4 it seems very big.
compared to a lot of other digital bodies it really isn't.
This thing is a lot lighter than it looks. The D70 feels very light
for it's size, and in fact is not a lot heavier than the OM-4t.
Man does this thing have a LOT of buttons and dials! Not counting the
shutter button I count 3 switches, 1 muliti switch, 3 dials, and 15
buttons! I may have even missed some! It will be interesting to see
if I can figure out how to run this damn thing! So far I have managed
to load the battery and memory card and actually snap a picture or two.
With all of the buttons and gizmos the thing has no aperture ring on
the lens. Guess I will have to read the manual to figure out how to
change the aperture on the thing!
It's a brave new world out there!
